The other night I had a dream, or probably more appropriately, a nightmare. I was pregnant.
Panicked thoughts ran through my mind.
I’m 54 years old!
33 years and 10 months, married to the same man.
2 grown children.
2 grand-babies, with 2 more due this fall.
Do women really have babies at my age?
I am so embarrassed!
I was more than a little relieved when I awakened to find it was only a dream. I’m super-excited about babies, but I’m leaving the birthing to my daughters.
I have heard it said, if you dream you are pregnant, you may be about to birth something other than a human baby. Maybe the Lord has a new venture of some sort that will minister spiritual life to others.
The Lord has plans and purposes for us in every season of life. I always want to be ready for a new adventure. No matter how old we are, we can continue to grow and dream with God.
Thankfully, I’m not expecting to birth a baby at this stage in life, but I am living with great expectancy of God’s plan for each day.
