God’s Love Series – Day 33 – Happy Ending

Posted on January 26, 2025January 25, 2025 by Dara

I love a happy ending. I won’t watch a movie or read a book if I am aware the story does not end happily. I will endure some hard times along the way, but in the end, I want happy.

Maybe I am naive or possibly in denial, but there is enough drama in real life. I can watch the news if I want to be depressed. I do not choose to be entertained by it.

“For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.” Jeremiah 29:11 (AMPC)

God plans good things for us. Not evil. He wants us to have a good life, full of peace and hope right up until the end of our time on earth.

“With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.” Psalm 91:16 (NKJV)

God says he will satisfy us. Satisfy can be defined as, to make happy, to please, to gratify to the full.

God want us to live a long life which is pleasing to us. After we grow old and are satisfied with the life we have lived upon the earth, He has heaven waiting.

“For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” Philippians 1:21 (NKJV)

Whether here, or there, we cannot lose.

“But the good man—what a different story! For the good man—the blameless, the upright, the man of peace—he has a wonderful future ahead of him. For him there is a happy ending.” Psalm 37:37 (TLB)

God has good plans for each of us, from beginning to end.

It’s safe to say God agrees with me when it comes to endings. He wants happy.
