Live Like the Bible Is True

Posted on November 29, 2017November 28, 2017 by Dara

I met Jesus when I was 6 years old and have read the Bible since that time. I believe the Bible is God’s Word, and I believe God always tells the truth, but I have found I don’t always live like I believe the Bible is true.

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.” 2 Timothy 3:16 (NLT)

I believe this scripture. Every word of it. So I am asking the Holy Spirit to help me live like I believe it.

Whatever the topic, everyone has an opinion; and we all adopt our own belief systems for our lives. But when it all boils down, God’s Word is the truth and the plumb line for life.

Does God really love me?

“…nothing can separate us from the love of God…” (Romans 8:39)

I wonder if God is always with me?

“…I will never leave you or forsake you…” (Hebrews 13:5)

Does God understand me?

“…You understand my thoughts…” (Psalm 139:2)

Has God forgiven me for my sin?

“…He forgives all of my sins…” (Psalm 103:3)

Does God want me well?

“…He heals all of my diseases…” (Psalm 139:3)

Will I ever get past my problem?

“… in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us…” (Romans 8:37)

No matter how we feel, regardless what is happening, or what anyone says, we can side with God’s Word. The answer to every question and the solution to every problem is in the Bible. The Bible is God’s love letter and instruction manual all wrapped up into one.

We can choose to live like the Bible is true; because it is.
