I have heard that stress is the leading cause of sickness and disease. If this is true, could peace be the leading cause of health and healing?
God did not create our bodies to be consumed with stress, worry and fear. He designed us for love, joy, and peace.
Let ‘s get it straight from Jesus…
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
John 14:27 (NKJV)
Jesus left His peace with us, but in times of stress, do you ever wonder exactly where it was He left it?
The only place I know to find His peace is in the Word of God. And the icing on the cake, the Word also brings healing and health into our bodies.
“My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words.
Don’t lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart,
For they bring life to those that find them, and healing to their whole body.”
Proverbs 4:20-22 (NLT)
How about a second witness.
“He sent out His word and healed them, snatching them from the door of death.” Psalm 107:20 (NLT)
Stress may be the leading cause of sickness and disease; but peace, coming through the Word of God, is the leading cause of health and healing.
